Whenyou’vebeenhurtoroffended,sometimesit’stemptingtoholdontounforgiveness.Butwehavetoremember,whenpeoplewrongus,ourbattleisnotagainstfleshandblood.Inotherwords,thatpersonwhohurtyouisnottherealenemy.TheBiblesaysthatyouradversaryisthedevil,andheknowsthatifyoudon’tforgive,thenyourprayerswon’tbeeffective.UnforgivenessputsupabarrierinyourlifetothepowerofGod.Infact,ifwedon’tforgiveothers,wecan’tbeforgivenbyGod.Butwhenyouchooseforgiveness,youopenthedoorforGod’shealingpowertoflowthroughyourlife.Disarmtheenemyinyourlifetodaybychoosingforgiveness.Blessthosewhocurseyouandprayforthosewhowrongyou.LookatwhatJesusdid—whenHewasbetrayed,beaten,mocked,anddisrespected,Hechoseforgiveness.AsyoufollowHisexample,youwillopenthedoorforGodtomoveinyourlife,andyou’llliveinvictoryineveryareaofyourlife!
