청춘이란인생의어느기간을말하는것이아니라마음의상태를말한다.그것은장미빛의뺨，앵두같은입술，하늘거리는자태가아니라강인한의지，풍부한상상력，불타는열정을말한다.

청춘이란인생의갚은샘물에서오는신선한정신,유약함을물리치는용기안이함을뿌리치는모험심을의미한다.때로는이십의청년보다육십이된사람에게청춘이있다.나이를먹는다고해서우리가늙는것은아니다.이상을잃어버릴때비로소늙는것이다.

세월은우리의주름살을늘게하지만열정을가진마음을시들게하지는못한다.고뇌，공포，실망때문에기력이땅으로들어갈때비로소마음이시들어버리는것이다.

육십세이든십육세이든모든사람의가슴속에는놀라움에끌리는마음，젖먹이아이와같은미지에대한끝없는탐구심，삶에서환희를얻고자하는열망이있다.

그대와나의가슴속에는남에게잘보이지않는그무엇이간직되어있다.아름다움，희망，희열용기영원의세계에서오는힘이모든것을갖고있는한언제까지나그대는젊음을유지할것이다.

영감이끊어져정신이냉소라는눈에파묻히고비탄의얼음에갇힌사람은비록나이가이십세라할지라도이미늙은이와다름없다.그러나머리를드높여희망이란파도를탈수있는한그대는팔십세일지라도영원한청춘의소유자일것이다.
