몇달전부터지속적으로오는영문메일이있다.
내가이메일을받은날짜는5월11일,6월10일,6월27일,7월6일등이다.
“코트디브아르에산다는여인인데
남편이아이보리코스트의쿠웨이트대사관에서9년간일했고,
남편이급작스럽게2004년에사망하였으며,
남편이죽기전기독교인이되었고,
본인은이후다시결혼하거나입양하지않기로결심하였으며,
남편은죽기전2,500,000달러를코트디브아르은행구좌에맡겨놓았고,
본인도암선고를받았고
남편이맡겨놓은펀드를교회나개인에게기부하겠다는결심을하였고
교회가고아,과부,선교등에써주기를바란다.“
이제본인은14일정도의수명이남아있고자신의건강상태를안남편의친척들이둘러싸고있어전화는할수없다며,메일로답을받는대로아부잔에있는은행과연결시켜주겠다는내용이다.
그러나8년전지인한분이거액을기부하겠다는서신을받고현지대사관,주한국대사관등에확인을한결과사기메일이란것이밝혀진적이있다.
이번메일은통상적인내용과는약간다르게종교와시한부인생을강조하는점이다르다.
몇년전에도비슷한내용의메일을받은적이있는데특이한것은이번메일은지속적으로오고있다는것이다.
이내용이정말사실이라면내가좋은일을할기회를놓치는것이되겠지만그렇게중요하고다급한내용을단순하게익명의다수에게보내결정한다는것이정말안되는이야기이다.
이런내용의메일이지속된다는것은누군가가이것이사실이라는것을믿고답을보내고사기를당하고있기때문이라고본다.
요즈음그렇게보이스피싱을주의하라고해도속는사람이줄기는커녕피해액수는는다고하니모르긴몰라도보이스피싱수법이진화하는것일것이다.
이메일에대해생각해보다가잠시망상을해보았다.
누군가정말거액을내놓는다면정말보람있게잘써줄자신은있는데^^
