AsmallteamofAmericanskilledbinLadeninafirefightatacompoundinPakistan

thepresidentsaidinadramaticlate-nightstatementattheWhiteHouse.

AjubilantcrowdgatheredoutsidetheWhiteHouseaswordspreadofbinLaden’sdeath

afteraglobalmanhuntthatlastednearlyadecade.

"Justicehasbeendone!"thepresidentsaid.

FormerPresidentGeorgeW.Bush,whowasinofficeonthedayoftheattacks

issuedawrittenstatementhailingbinLaden’sdeathasamomentousachievement.
