Whenyoureflectsomething,youareexhibitingitslikeness.Youaredisplayingitscharacteristics.Likeamirror,theBibletellsusthatweshouldreflectthecharacterandlikenessofJesus.WeshouldhaveHissameattitude.Thatmaysoundlikeaprettytallorder;afterall,JesuswastheSonofGod.Butremember,whenweacceptHimasourLordandSavior,webecomesonsanddaughtersoftheMostHighGod,too.WebecomeempoweredbythesamespiritthatraisedChristfromthedead.Thatmeanswehavethesamespiritofhumility—thesamestrength,thesamelove,thesamepowerontheinside.WeareempoweredtofollowHisexampleanddowhatHedid.WhenJesuswalkedtheearth,thescripturesaysHewentarounddoinggoodandbringinghealingtoothers,physically,spirituallyandemotionally.That’swhatweshouldbedoing,too.Noticethisversestartsbysaying,“Let…”WehavetoinviteGodintoourattitudeandactions.ChoosetodaytoinviteHimtoworkinyou.Asyoudo,youwillreflectHiminyourattitudeandactionsandbringgoodtoothers,andyouwillreapanabundantharvestofblessingineveryareaofyourlife.
