Inthisdayandage,therearemany“voices”thattrytotellushowtoliveorhowtogettoheaven.BackinBibledays,therewerealsopeopleknownasfalseteacherswhocameintothechurchwitha“newrevelation.”Inthisscripture,JohnisremindingallofusthatGodhasnotchanged.Heisbasicallysaying,“Youknowwhat,therereallyisn’tanythingnewaboutGod.He’sthesameasHe’salwaysbeensojuststaywithwhatyouknow.DowhatHe’scommandedandloveoneanother.”

TheWordofGodisHistruth.WhenyoufollowGod’sWord,youcanbesurethatyouarestayinginthetruth.Remember,Jesussaid,“ApartfromMe,youcandonothing.”Anyteachingsthatdon’tacknowledgewhatJesusdidonthecrossarefalseteachings.FalseteachingsfeedyourprideandtellyouthatyoucanmakeitonyourownwithoutHim.ButGodopposestheproudbutgivesgracetothehumble.LovingothersandputtingthemfirstkeepsushumblebeforetheLord.ItputsusinapositiontoreceiveHisgraceandliveempoweredbyHistruthallthedaysofourlives.

Fatherinheaven,thankYouforYourtruthwhichsetsmefree.HelpmetoloveothersthewayYoulovethemsoIcanstayfocusedonYourtruth.IblessYouandpraiseYouforYourfaithfulness.InJesus’Name.Amen.
