옥스포드 대학에서 인도의 수능학제를 인정하다!

인도학제인CBSE와ISC를마치고그시험성적으로내년부터옥스포드대학에의입학이허용된다.인도의두정규학제를인정한것은옥스포드대학교915년역사상처음있는일이다.즉,수능시험에서90%이상의성적을올린학생들은2012년10월부터입학신청할수있으며학부생을위한코스비용은약15,000파운드정도가될것이라고한다.지금까지옥스포드대학의학사과정에입학신청을위해서는별도의시험결과를제출해야됐었다.
IITKharagpur에서옥스포드대학의부총장앤드류해밀턴은"우리는인도의우수한학생들을유치하게되어기쁘게생각합니다.캠브리지를비롯한영국의유수한대학들보다발빠르게인도의우수한학생을유치하고자수능시험결과를입학사정시반영하기로결정했습니다.또한인도에분교를설치할계획을가지고있습니다."라고언론에발표하였다.
2011년,옥스로드대학의학계의패널들이모여서인도학제인CBSE와ISC시험이학부생입학자격에포함되어도되는지의여부를논의하였는데,다섯과목에서모두90%이상을달성한경우받아들여도된다는결론을내렸다.<힌두스탄타임즈-24/03/2012>

SpeakingtothemediaatIITKharagpur,Oxfordvice-chancellorAndrewHamiltonsaid:“We’reverypleasedtoopenourdoorstoIndia’stop-performingstudents.We’recommittedtoattractingthebeststudentsfromIndiatoOxfordand,tosignalourcommitment,we’vegonefurtherthanmanyotherUKuniversitiesincludingCambridge,inthat,forthefirsttime,wehavedecidedtoacceptClassXIIexaminationresultsforallundergraduatecoursesatOxford.“

StudentscanstartapplyingforadmissionfromOctober2012.Thecoursefeeforundergraduateswillbeapproximately£15,000ayear.Earlier,Oxfordaspirantstotheundergraduatecoursesneededtoappearinvarioustestsbeforetheywereconsideredeligibleforadmission.
CandidateswhooptforOxford’ssciencecoursesatundergraduatelevelmayalsoneedtotaketheIndianInstituteofTechnology(IIT)entranceexamination.Theserequirementswillbereviewedafterthreeyearstoseeifanyadjustmentsareneeded.
