운영하는룸쌀롱에서일을시키다한여성이목사님에게구출을요청했다.이여성은이층에서뛰어
내려아래서기다리든목사님과함께경찰에신고해경찰이스왓팀을동원해서나머지여섯명의
여인들을구출해냈다.
크로스써컷카메라를집안과집밖에설치하고여인들의모든행동을감시하는집에서
생활하든여인들은한국애서인신매매단에걸려집장촌에서일하는여성과똑같은환경에서
살고있었다.미국에서일하기를희망하는여인들이밀입국조직과연게되여카나다를통해서
밀입국해여권을빼앗기고늘어가는빗을빨리갑기위해룸싸롱에온손님과이차까지가서
성매매를했다는피해자의진술은이지역한국인들에게또한번얼굴을들고다니기가민망한
망신을안겨주었다.
한국에서자행되는인신매매의수법과한치의오차도없는이현실을도대체우리는어떻게

SixundocumentedKoreanwomenfoundinaCoppellhouseTuesdaymorningapparentlywerebroughttotheUnitedStatesunderfalsepretensesandwereforcedtoworkatanorthwestDallaskaraokebarwhiletheypaidofftheirsmugglingfee,animmigrationagentsaid.
SungBumChang,theclub’sowner,wasarrestedTuesdayandischargedwithknowinglyharboringillegalimmigrants.U.S.MagistrateJudgeIrmaRamirezreleasedhimonhisownrecognizanceWednesdayafternoon.
Mr.Chang,whohousedandfedthewomenathisCoppellhouse,declinedtodiscussthecaseindetail.
"Iamnotacriminal,"Mr.Changsaidoutsidethecourthouse."You’regoingtofindout."
WilliamA.Bratton,Mr.Chang’sattorney,saidhisclientoperatedalegitimatebusinessandwasnotholdingthewomenagainsttheirwill.
"Theseladieswouldwalkout,getincars,workattheclub.Theywereinplainview,"Mr.Brattonsaid."Ithinktherearealotofinferencesherestartedbyneighborsthatstartedrumors."
LawenforcementofficialssaidthatMr.Chang,39,probablywillfaceadditionalchargesandthattheywillprobablyarrestsomeofhisassociates.
"Thecaseisstillunderveryactiveinvestigation,"saidKennethCates,specialagentinchargeoftheU.S.ImmigrationandCustomsEnforcementfieldofficeinDallas."Heisbeingchargedinitiallywithharboring.It’scertainlyoursuspicionthathe’sapartofthehumansmugglingorganizedeffort."
ImmigrationofficialssaidawomanwhoescapedfromtheCoppellhouseinFebruarytoldthemthatMr.ChangheldherandotherKoreanwomencaptiveforseveralmonths.Mr.Changmonitoredthewomen’smovescloselyusingsecuritycamerasinstalledinsideandoutsidethefive-bedroomhouse.
Thewoman,HeaYoungJung,arrivedintheUnitedStatesaftervisitingaWebsitethatadvertisedemploymentopportunitiesintheserviceindustryinAmericancities.Mr.Changcorrespondsbye-mailwithlaborbrokersinKoreawhosendhimphotographsofyoungwomenwhowanttoworkinAmericancities,immigrationofficialssaid.
"Shesaidtheindividualtoldhershe’dbeworkinginrestaurantsandbarsduringtheevenings,"ICESpecialAgentDavidE.Popptestified.
Ms.Jung,whoagreedtopaytheorganization$12,000withtheunderstandingthatshewouldobtainaU.S.visa,laterlearnedthatshewouldhavetosneakintotheUnitedStatesthroughtheCanadianborderandthathersmugglingfeehadbeenraised,AgentPoppsaid.Koreansdon’tneedvisastovisitCanada.
Ms.JungflewfromNewYorktoLosAngeles,wheresheworkedbrieflybeforebeingsenttotheDallasarea,AgentPoppsaid.
WhenshearrivedatMr.Chang’shouse,hetookherpassportandtoldhersheneededtoworkforhimuntilshepaidoffherdebt,whichwastrackedinledgerskeptbyMr.Chang’swife,AgentPoppsaid.
ThewomenweredrivenregularlytoMr.Chang’sbar,WAClub,inthe2900blockofWalnutHillLaneinnorthwestDallas.AgentPoppsaidhehadnoevidencethatMr.Changforcedthewomentoworkasprostitutes.
Ms.Jung"indicatedthatsomeoftheotherwomenchoseto[havesexwithcustomers]inordertopayofftheirdebtmorequickly,"AgentPoppsaid.
Ms.JungescapedfromMr.Chang’shousebyjumpingfromasecond-storybathroomwindowandwasassistedbyaKoreanministerwhocontactedpolice,AgentPoppsaid.
BeforeMs.Jungcontactedpolice,CoppellviceofficershadconductedsurveillanceonMr.Changafterreceivingcomplaintsfromneighbors,officialssaid.
CoppellofficersfollowedablackMercedessportutilityvehicleregisteredtoMr.ChangfromtheCoppellhousetothekaraokebaronenightinFebruary,accordingtoacriminalcomplaint.Officerswatchedsomeofthewomenkissandcaressmenoutsidetheclubasthemenwereleaving.
Theclub,inasmall,run-downcommercialbuildingnearHarryHinesBoulevard,appearedclosedWednesday.Itswindowswereboardedupfromtheinside.IthasnocommercialsignsinEnglish.
ImmigrationagentsactivatedaSWATteamTuesdaymorningtoexecuteasearchwarrantatMr.Chang’sresidence,onthe800blockofGreenwayDriveinCoppell.TheytookthewomenintocustodyafterestablishingthattheywereinthecountryillegallyandlaterarrestedMr.Chang,whokeptthewomen’spassportsinhisbathroomcloset,officialssaid.
AgentPoppsaidMr.Changacknowledgedthatheknewthewomenwereinthecountryillegally–anincriminatingstatementthatallowedthemtoarresthim.
KatherineChon,executivedirectorofPolarisProject,aWashingtonorganizationthatstudieshumantrafficking,saidcoercionisnotalwaysobviousinhumantraffickingcases.
