OnetimeintheScripture,thereweretenleperswhosawJesuscomingthroughthecity.Theyholleredout,“Jesus!Havemercyonusandmakeuswhole!”Jesuscouldhavehealedthemrightthen,butinstead,Heaskedthemtodosomethingtoexpresstheirfaith.Hesaid,“GoshowyourselftothePriest,andyouwillbemadewhole.”

It’sinterestingthatthoseleperswerenotsupposedtobearoundotherpeople.Theyhadtoliveincoloniesbythemselvesbecausetheywereverycontagiousandconsideredunclean.I’msuretheydebatedamongthemselves,“Doyoureallythinkweshouldgo?Idon’tlookanybetter.Myskinisnotclear.It’sjustgoingtobeawasteofmytime.”Buttheydaredtoputactionbehindtheirfaith.Theydecided,“Jesussaidifwego,wewillbewell.Let’sgo.Let’stakeastepoffaith.”TheScripturesays,“Astheywent,theyweremadewhole.”
