20세기 최대의 발명품 중에 하나가 컴퓨터라고 했다. 컴퓨터를 통한 인터넷의 발달로 요즘은 모두들 인터넷 세상에서 시간 가는줄 모르고 혼자 있기를 즐기는 사람들이 늘어났다. 인터넷으로 인해 한국에서 12000km나 떨어져 있는 이곳 프랑스 빠리에서 한국에서 일어나는 일들을 자세히 알 수 있고 한국에 있는 지인과 바로 옆집에서 전화하는 것처럼 통화도 할 수 있고 전세계가 바로 1일 생활권이 되어버렸다. 무엇보다도 요즘 나를 당혹하게 하는 일은 2016년 10월 10일에 내가 블로그에 올렸던 기사에 대해  많은 댓글이 달리고 있다는 것이다. 그들은 대부분 영어로 댓글을 달았는데 내블로그 글에 대해 높은 찬사를 보내고 있다. 때로는 일본어로 댓글을 단 이도 있고 아랍어로 댓글을 단 이도 있는데 한결같이 내블로그 글이 좋다는 것이다. 그렇다면 그들은 한글을 읽을 줄 아는 사람들인가? 호기심으로 그들이 남긴 주소 위로 클릭을 해보았다. 외국인들의 광고 사이트가 많았다. 묘한 호기심이 작동을 하는 것이다. 과연 그들은 내글을 읽기나 하고 이런 댓글을 쓴것인지 아니면??? 도무지 이들의 댓글의 목적이 가늠이 되지 않는다.

댓글을 단다는 것은 어느 정도의 시간을 투자한다는 것인데 심심해서 댓글을 다는 것은 아닐 것이다. 많은 외국인들의 댓글 찬사에 싫지만은 않으면서도 무언지 모르게 께름칙한 것이 요즘 내심정이다.
